So here I am, sitting here and I'm wondering: Why did I create this? See, you're not the only one wondering this. I think it might just be because of my boredom and my thoughts that I need somewhere to document my days and I'm too paranoid for a paper and pen journal. So therefore, I'll create this and make sure that things I don't want people to see is cleverly hidden. Because, let's face it folks, you don't even know me and you already can figure I'm clever. First things first though, before I go on, let's get to introductions.
My name is Veronica Mars. I'm currently a junior at Neptune High School. Yes, the school where there is no middle class. It's either the rich folks, or the people that work for them. Me...well, I guess I'm an outsider in more than one way. Yes, my dad, Keith Mars, works for the rich people, but he also works for poor as well. He's a private investigator since he lost his job as Sheriff of Neptune recently to an Incompetent Moron that goes by the name Don Lamb. Why did my father lose his job you may ask? Well...let me tell you.
My father lost the job as sheriff after he accused the most powerful man in town of murder. Murder? Le gasp. In a small town?! Unheard of, right? Wrong. It happens here more than you think, honestly. You'd think that the town was a centerpoint in one of those teen shows or something. Okay, back on topic. Jake Kane, the man that I referred to up yonder, was accused of murdering his daughter and my best friend, Lilly Kane. That was when everything went to hell for my father. Jake Kane is not only the most powerful man in town, but he is also one of the most liked. My dad lost a lot of people to his decision in thinking Jake was the murderer, and I lost friends by supporting him. It's a choice that I wonder about often, but don't regret. Now that this is cleared up...allow me to set the scene with the other people in my life.
Duncan Kane: Duncan Kane was not only Lilly's younger brother, but my boyfriend. We broke up suddenly with no explanation, he just ended it. I still wonder what I did wrong...but there's no way in hell he would tell me. You know how boys are. Irritating. His mother hates me, she always has. I think it was just because she always saw me as a threat to take her precious son away. Whatever the case, I don't really care too much. The feelings are mutual.
Logan Echolls: There are many things I could say about Logan...and not any of them are good. So I suppose I shall try to be as unbiased as possible. He's Neptune's Obligatory Psychotic Jackass. Yes, every school has one, and he would definitely be ours. We used to be friends...a long time ago, but he didn't forgive me for standing by my father in the Lilly Kane investigation, and well...there was something else as well. Anyway, the big part of this story is that he is also Duncan's best friend and Lilly's ex boyfriend. They had been on a break when she died, but the breaks had never really lasted long. Logan's father, Aaron Echolls is a famous movie star. He also has a half sister named Trina. Okay...this is about all I can say on Logan without getting cruel. So continuing on...
Wallace Fennel: I've recently just met Wallace and I'm not for sure if I can exactly call him a friend yet. After all, he has been getting kind of annoying. I guess he feels as if he owes me something after I cut him down from the flagpole after he narced out some of the PCHers and tangled with Weevil. Oh...I haven't talked about Weevil. I suppose that means he shall be our next person.
Weevil Navarro: Weevil is the head of the resident motorcycle gang, or the PCHers. He tries to act tough, but I'm pretty sure he's a softy. He's rather annoying as well, but I guess I find a lot of people annoying. I'm sure I will have more to say about him as we go along.
Okay, now I'll explain what has actually gone on today. My day started out at high school, thinking it was any other normal day. However, seeing a naked African American boy duct taped to a flagpole with 'SNICH' painted on his chest wasn't exactly normal. Perhaps I just lead a boring life. Do you see men taped to flagpoles at your school? Come on, anyone? Anyone at all? Oh...well...okay then. Continuing on. This guy turned out to be Wallace, (see above), and he had been taped up there because he had given a tape to Sheriff Dipshit of the Human Shield department showing that two of the PCHers had stolen some things from the Sac-N-Pac. To top it all off, Lamb made him stand out and pick out the two PCHers so Weevil saw who he was. Thus, flag pole celebritism. After Wallace stalked me for awhile I decided that I might as well do something for him. I mean, it's not like he's my friend or anything.
So...before this gets too long, I'll just say that after putting a 'bong' in Logan's locker so he would get in trouble for being an ass AND to have something in the sheriff department in which I could make smoke and get the fire department who still respects my dad enough to do favors for us got me the tape...I had them plant another tape to get Lamb's department in trouble. You see, one of his officers got a hooker with him on duty. Mmhmm, baddddddddd cop. There's nothing I like more than to get Lamb in trouble. Ah, revenge really is a bitch. I don't just say that towards Lamb either...Logan seems to believe that revenge should be a bitch too.
Logan found Wallace and I on the beach....becoming.....*wince* friends, and we were having a fine and dandy time bonding when Wallace noticed Logan and part of his gang of witless wonders by my Le Baron. Upon walking back up there, and exchanging 'witty' banter, he broke my headlights with a crowbar. Do you see now why it was hard not saying something mean about this guy? He's SUCH a winner. I'm sure he would have done more if Weevil hadn't came up. They had to be all manly and fight back and forth a bit and after Logan got a bloody nose and one of his dipshit's mother's car got the shit beat out of it by the hands of Weevil, they left. Wallace made the note that he felt like he was in a scene from The Outsiders. I have to say that I agreed, but I wasn't going to tell him this at the time. Weevil came up and revealed his original motive: He wanted the Sac-N-Pac tape. Wallace stayed cool and told him no which was really entertaining. Maybe he's not so bad after all. Not to mention that Weevil said that he could get my headlights fixed. Aww, a kind and gentler Weevil.
Oh...and I do believe there is something else I must document. My father was hired by Duncan's mother to find out if her husband was cheating on her. My dad had to go on another case so I did the stake-out. I didn't get any money shots but I got pictures of the license plates. Tracking them...I found out that the car was licensed to Lianne Mars. My mother. My mother left during the Lilly Kane investigation when my father was still sheriff. She couldn't handle it all...maybe now I knew why. My dad had freaked out when I had first given him the pictures and once I found out who they belonged to, I understood. I don't know what to think yet...but it's definitely not good.
Well...I need to go walk Backup, my dog, and I'm out of things to say so I'll post again soon. Later Gators.
